Question of the Day - 07 June 2004

Q:
Are there any casinos that still offer "stand on all 17s" blackjack tables and pay 3 to 2 on naturals?
A:

Yes. Aladdin, Bally's, Bellagio, Caesars, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock, Hotel San Remo, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, Monte Carlo, NY-NY, Palms, Paris, Rio, Slots-A-Fun, Stardust, Treasure Island, Tropicana, and Venetian.

Both of these rules lower the house edge at blackjack, but players should always look for games that pay 3-2 on a natural (first two cards add up to 21), rather than 6-5, which is a new and unwelcome trend in blackjack.
