Planet Hollywood is poised to assume control of the Aladdin as early as September. However, because the hold-up is due to the continuing investigation into the principals of PH by Nevada Gaming Contol Board regulars, it could take longer.
When Planet Hollywood final does take over the Aladdin, the name will be changed to -- coincidentally enough -- Planet Hollywood. And the theme will be similar to all the PH restaurants around the world -- the Hollywood movie and celebrity industry.
Finally, the transition shouldn't affect guests at all. These changeovers occur frequently in Las Vegas (this year alone has seen two -- at the Golden Nugget and the Las Vegas Hilton -- and they always proceed smoothly. Of course, anyone can have a bad experience at anytime for any reason. But the odds are in your favor that, except for the name and theme changes, you probably won't even notice that a different company is running the joint.
