When the new consolidated rental-car complex opens at McCarran, will there be a tram to it from the main terminal, will it be within walking distance, or will we be stuck riding shuttle buses?
A:
From what's been reported, it looks like we're stuck with shuttle buses.
However, because all the rental-car agencies will be in the same building, they won't have their own buses going to and from the center. Instead, airport shuttle buses will run continuously between the center and the designated rental-car pick-up spot outside the terminal. This will eliminate some congestion and confusion at the airport (and hopefully won't simply transfer it from the airport to the rental-car center).
