Question of the Day - 04 September 2004

Q:
What kind of market is there for Vegas collectibles? We have a dollar chip from the Sands and we were wondering if it's worth anything.
A:

The best place is find what a NEVADA casino chip is worth is by buying a book called The Chip Rack. Now in its 10th edition, The Chip Rack lists every casino chip known to exist, along with descriptions and values.

You can also post a photo of the chip at www.thechipboard.com. The site is frequented by avid casino-chip collectors.

The best place to buy casino collectibles is eBay. It has listings of several categories including chips, tokens, silver strikes, slot club cards, room keys, ashtrays, and who knows what else.

If you want to join the Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club, an organization of more than 2,700 members worldwide who collect anything and everything that has a casino logo on it, go to www.ccgtcc.com to find out more information or to sign up.
