Question of the Day - 09 November 2004

Q:
We are looking at coming to Vegas for New Year's. How soon do we need to book and do the hotels have a minimum stay requirement?
A:

New Year's Eve books up quickly, so it's best to reserve as far in advance as possible. Most hotels will begin taking reservations for the upcoming New Year's Eve year at the beginning of February (so, you can start calling in February 2005 for December 31, 2005). Hotels that have customarily required at least a two-night-minimum stay over the holiday include Casino Royale, Golden Nugget, Green Valley Ranch, Hard Rock, Harrah's, Rio, and Stardust. Bourbon Street, Klondike, MGM, Mirage, Silverton, TI, and Venetian have required just a one-night stay, albeit at a significantly inflated room rate.
