Question of the Day - 15 November 2004

Q:
I'm a freelance writer and skilled blackjack player who enjoys reading your publications. I think I have some valuable information I could share with your readership. Do you ever take submissions from guest writers? If so, how do I submit articles for the Las Vegas Advisor and LVA Lite?
A:

We've been covering the Las Vegas gambling scene since 1983, and have developed strong relationships with a long list of gaming writers for that over-two-decade-long period. In fact, our publisher, Anthony Curtis, who was once a pro blackjack card counter, counts amongst his friends some of the world's most renowned gambling pros. Therefore, we have a long list of people at the ready to write such materials for us when we need them, and, as a result, we don't accept submissions for the Las Vegas Advisor and LVA Lite from the public at large. We do, however, welcome submissions for our book-publishing division, Huntington Press. To submit a book idea, please review our submission guidelines at http://www.huntingtonpress.com/submission-guidelines.cfm.
