OK, we admit it: We planted this question. The answer is that we're taking a hiatus from QoD. Like the poll we posted for a while over the summer, QoD was an experiment. We feel it was successful in terms of driving return traffic to the Web site and prompting thousands of fantastic questions (a big thank you to everyone who submitted).
However, with the holidays coming up, we're in a time crunch, and QoD is extremely labor intensive. In addition, we're re-evaluating the entire site, of which QoD is only a piece. If we decide to reinstate QoD, we'll do so with an established stable of experts who can answer the many technical questions we receive.
Meanwhile, feel free to lobby for the return of Question of thy Day by continuing to submit questions or simply voting for it with an email.
