Question of the Day - 03 September 2005

Q:
Which table game has the highest win per day for a casino: Three Card Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Let It Ride, Caribbean Stud, or blackjack?
A:

Blackjack –- by a mile! The statewide Gaming Revenue Report produced by Gaming Control reveals that for the 12-month period from 07/01/04 to 06/30/05, blackjack was responsible for a win of $1.17 billion. Among table games, baccarat was the runner-up at $550 million, give or take, followed by craps with a win of $452.6 million. Three Card Poker made $165.5 million, Let It Ride $66 million, and Caribbean Stud $33.8 million. Crazy 4 Poker didn’t net a significant enough amount to be listed separately and falls under the "other games" category, which totaled $78 million.

Of course, these figures all pale into insignificance alongside the win from slot machines, which totaled $7.4 billion, or 67.5% of the total gaming win for the year.
