A call to Bally's confirmed that their free-pull slot machine, which used to be located by the buffet escalators, has been gone for five years now. However, the following properties all offer some kind of free pull on a slot or video poker machine:
Riviera: By picking up a coupon from the promotions booth at the front of the casino, slot players can get one free pull. If the slot doesn’t spin a winner, you automatically receive a souvenir mug or deck of cards.
Tropicana: There were two free pull slots, one located in the courtyard and the other near the MGM walkway. Prizes included a Ford Mustang convertible, Tropicana show tickets, and dining discounts. Every pull was supposedly a winner.
Coast Properties: They don't offer a free pull on a slot machine. However, if you cash your paycheck at any of the Coast casinos (Barbary Coast, Gold Coast, Suncoast, or Orleans), you receive a token to use at one of two video poker machines. The minimum prize is a free drink; the maximum (good luck!) is $250,000. This is a cage promotion -- the slot departments are not currently offering any free pulls.
Aladdin: As a promotion for Club Aladdin, new enrollees get a free pull on a special promotional slot with a top jackpot of $1 million. Other prizes include show tickets and buffet dinners. As an incentive to join the club, new sign-ups are also given a free margarita and $5 free slot play.
Four Queens: Here, you’re allowed one free pull per day at one of the two big machines in the front of the casino. Prizes range from a deck of cards to $10,000.
Palms: If you cash your paycheck here on Friday from 10 am to 8 pm, you can take a free pull on a Megabucks machine. Some Club Palms members are eligible for 13 days of free max-coin slot pulls on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the month of September. Those eligible would have been sent a postcard, which has to be presented before taking your free pull.
Luxor used to offer a free pull if you signed up for the slot club but decided to get rid of that promotion about a week prior to our calling them. Although Caesars Palace was still running a phone message at the time we called about a $1 Million Fantasy slot free-pull promotion, it said the machines are gone and that the promotion has not been offered since March 2005.
