Question of the Day - 05 November 2005

Q:
Any information available on the production company shooting "King of Las Vegas"? Are there sites outside of Las Vegas where they're interviewing potential players for their multi-game format?
A:

"King of Vegas" is a 10-part reality-television series being produced by Spike TV (part of MTV Networks), with selected contestants competing head-to-head across a range of casino games for a $1 million prize.

Those wishing to take part can apply either online or in person. Here are the application instructions, taken directly from the Spike TV Web site:

a. To apply online, you must fully complete the APPLICATION. Completed applications (along with a recent clear photo of yourself) must be received 72 hours prior to the Qualifying Round you wish to attend (subject to change, in Producers' discretion). Those invited as a result of the online application process will be assigned an appointment time.

b. To apply in person, you must go to a Qualifying Round during October or November 2005 (dates, times and locations are subject to change, in Producers' discretion) and go through the Application Process. We will provide you with a copy of the application at that time. Those invited as a result of the in-person application process may have a longer wait.

Several of the qualifying rounds have already taken place, but a couple of opportunities remain in Atlantic City (Nov. 6) and in Santa Monica and L.A. (Nov. 9). The actual filming is currently scheduled to take place some time this December [2005] in Las Vegas.
