Question of the Day - 01 December 2005

Q:
We play at the race books in Las Vegas hotels and we seem to have a problem getting a program with past performances of the harness races that they televise. Is there a certain location where you can purchase them?

Race books that televise harness racing generally offer individual track programs, which are provided by the state's dissemination service. These are usually free or cost no more than a dollar. You can also get Sports Eye's harness edition, which is sold at many race books. This publication, similar to the Daily Racing Form, but for harness races only, includes past performances at a number of leading harness tracks.

While prices for these publications are nominal anyway, at many books it's easy to get them for free if you're a big player, race book regular, hotel guest, or players' card holder.
