Question of the Day - 08 January 2006

Q:
Are any parts of imploded hotels left intact? Desert Inn, Dunes, Sands, etc.
A:

Nope.

The main towers of imploded hotels are completely leveled, then hauled away. The Dunes, Sands, Landmark, Desert Inn, and Aladdin have been dispatched with alacrity with a few well-placed pounds of plastic explosives and a parade of dump trucks.

A couple of towers at the Desert Inn were left standing after the implosion of the main tower, but they were later dismantled by wrecking balls and such. It was the same with the original garden rooms at the Sands (and the Flamingo), which were wrecked and disposed of. Nothing remains of any of them.
