With daytime temperatures routinely running in the low-mid 50s, it’s been traditional for Las Vegas hotels to close their pools during the winter months. Today, a number of properties’ pool facilities are still closed between approximately November and March, or even later, depending on the weather. These currently include: Aladdin, Binion’s, New York New York, Harrah’s, Imperial Palace, Riviera, Bally’s (but guests may use the pool at Paris, which remains open), TI (guests may use the pool at Mirage), Hard Rock, Four Seasons, Luxor (but guests can use Excalibur's pool), Palms (closed until the spring for remodeling), and the Golden Nugget (ditto).
Those properties that continue to offer some kind of pool facility, often choose this time of year to undertake any scheduled construction or maintenance work, so you’ll probably find that services are much reduced and that generally only one pool will be kept open, even if the hotel has several.
As far as winter pool opening times are concerned, it varies from property to property, but count on the hours being approximately 10 am – 4 or 5 pm. The only exception to this is the indoor pool at the Tropicana, which is open 24/7, 365 days of the year. In all cases, pools are open to hotel guests only (except for the Rampart — see below).
