Question of the Day - 05 July 2006

Q:
I know in the past you used to have a link under "Vegas Info" that listed everything pertaining to Las Vegas that was on TV that week. Before leaving for Vegas, we'd get pumped up by watching these shows. How come you no longer let us know when shows featuring Las Vegas are going to be on TV?
A:

You're correct. Until earlier this year, we listed upcoming Vegas-related TV shows on the LVA site. We had a source that we could use to research all the upcoming shows about Las Vegas, gambling, or related subjects and we posted them weekly. Then, for reasons we couldn't fathom, the source changed the way in which it presented the information and it turned into a nightmare to extract the data that had previously been readily accessible. We very much regretted having to take down the link, but it just was no longer economically viable to provide that information in terms of the man-hours it took to compile it. But from all the feedback we got — and still get — mourning the demise of "Vegas TV," we knew how much the feature was missed and we vowed that if we ever found a way to do it cost-effectively again, we'd bring it back.

The good news is, we did and we have — just in time for the holidays. As of today, you'll see that "Vegas TV" is back under the "Vegas Info"* menu and if you click on the link, you'll find the TV listings for the week ahead. From poker tournaments to SWAT teams and engineering marvels to magicians, if it's Vegas-related, we'll list it. We hope we've done a comprehensive job, but if you spot anything (national) that we've missed, please drop us a line via the Question of the Day link or our customer service email (csAThuntingtonpress.com) and we'll add it to the listings.

Enjoy!
