Question of the Day - 21 August 2006

Q:
I like to park in parking garages and take the stairs to the casino, instead of the elevator. Problem is, the elevators have big buttons for the casino level, while no signs on the stairs tell you which level the casino is on. How about a list of casino parking garages and the level you access the casinos from.
A:

Happy to oblige.

Aladdin: level three

Bally's: Parking garage is at Paris, need to go down to ground level and across the street

Barbary Coast: level one

Bellagio: level one

Caesars Palace: level three

Circus Circus: levels one and two

Excalibur: You have to walk across the parking lot to get to the casino, so park on the first level.

Flamingo: level three

Harrah's: level two (but you need to show a players club to a security guard to park in the garage)

Hooters: level one

Imperial Palace: level one

Luxor: level two (but this is the top level, so your car sits in the sun)

Mandalay Bay: level one (then walk around the corner into the casino)

MGM Grand: level one (you walk through the shops)

Mirage: you can only park on level four (uncovered walkway) but the casino is on level three.

Monte Carlo: You can't park here: the garage is due to be demolished any day now! It will be replaced by a new 12-story parking garage (2 below-ground and 10 above-ground levels). This project is estimated to take up to 2 years to complete so for the time being, you need to park at New York-New York and walk over from there.

New York-New York: level three

Paris: level three

Riviera: level one

Sahara: level one (walk across valet parking entrance)

Stratosphere: level three

Treasure Island: level three (covered walkway)

Tropicana: walk across parking lot

Westin Casuarina: level two

Venetian: level three

Wynn Las Vegas: level one
