Yes, the topic of fitness has come up before, specifically on Nov. 9, 2005, when we tackled a question about non-casino gyms near the Strip. We just revisited that one, which can be found in the archives, and all the prices remain constant.
Regarding the non-resort fitness facilities in town, Las Vegas Athletic Club (nearest location to the Strip: 5200 W. Sahara, 702/364-5822) offers classes such as spinning, yoga, step, etc., as do 24 Hour Fitness's "Sports Clubs" venues (nearest locations to the Strip at 2605 S. Eastern Ave., 702/641-2222 & 5035 W. Tropicana, 702/876-2451). The nearest facility to downtown that offers classes is the YMCA (4141 Meadows Lane, 702/877-9622). All three offer day passes for $15.
As far as casinos are concerned, more than 35 Las Vegas properties now have spas, many of which include fitness rooms. Just click the "Spas" link under "Vegas Info" on our home page for a complete list, together with the treatments they provide. From our recent call-around, we learned that not too many offer classes, however. Here are the ones that do, together with times and prices.
