Question of the Day - 14 December 2006

Q:
We're coming to Las Vegas for New Year's Eve for a few days and are interested in your coupon offer. How long are the coupons good for?
A:

Good question. We didn't know ourselves, so we counted them up. Here are the expiration dates and the number of coupons that expire on them.

Dec. 16 -- 1 Dec. 20 -- 1 Dec. 21 -- 5 Dec. 23 -- 1 Dec. 24 -- 1 Dec. 26 -- 20 Dec. 27 -- 2 Dec. 28 -- 7 Dec. 29 -- 11 Dec. 30 -- 66 Dec. 31 -- 31

Out of 146 coupons, 31 are good on New Year's Eve, 97 are good through December 30, and 108 are good through Dec. 29.

Note that no coupons are good for New Year's Day, since our office is closed on Jan. 1, thus the 2007 Pocketbook of Values coupon book isn't available till we reopen on Jan. 2.*

However, the most important coupon in the 2006 POV, the free draft beer at Wild Wild West, is good on Dec. 31.

*We already have 155 coupons confirmed from 55 different casinos, with more in the works, and we think it's our best POV ever. For a preview, click on the link under "About LVA Membership" on the home page.

Update 13 December 2006
Thanks to reader Kevco1955, who wrote in today with the following endorsement: "In 2006 (one trip in February and the other in October) I was able to use every matchplay coupon in the 2006 POV and, tracking my play, I was plus $90 in matchplay coupon play. I used the Palms $50 value coupon for my wife's spa treatment. Both Ellis Island meal discounts for steaks (value $5) the Ellis Island unlimited bar drink coupon (only allowed one hour but I got 5 Heinekens), and the 1/2 price buffet at Texas Station. Not to exclude the value of my membership (hard copy of LVA and online access). My answer to those who ask IS IT WORTH IT? MY ANSWER IS A RESOUNDING YES!"
