You are correct. Las Vegas is a cornucopia of shopping opportunities, from exclusive designer boutiques and jewelry stores with terrifying price tags (heck, we even have a Ferrari shop!) to regular high street shopping, and lots of it.
Most Strip casinos have some kind of shopping mall, but many tend to be of the kind specializing in novelty fridge magnets and things covered in sequins. The ones we've listed below are the main options for fashion shopping (i.e., places where you can buy stuff you might actually wear once you get home again).
Although we're not listing the lesser malls, in order to answer your question we did get stats for all of their square footages, (where available -- apparently the area of the Castle Walk Shops at Excalibur and Street of Dreams at Monte Carlo is some kind of state secret.) When we added together all the available data for mall shopping on the Strip, we came up with the staggering figure of a total of 4,575,676 square feet. For all the off-Strip malls, it came to 5,188,000.
All we can say is, bring comfortable walking shoes!
