Aha! Here's a timely question. Guess you haven't checked out our Las Vegas Cool Pools section, the massive feature we've been slaving over to bring you comprehensive information about all the best pools in Las Vegas and their amenities, including poolside spa services, blackjack and other al fresco table games, DJs, concerts, parties, and more.
Pool season's been quietly growing over the past few years and this summer it's totally exploded, with a frenzy of new venues, new parties, new topless pools, new concert series, and a new trend toward admitting non-hotel guests. If you click the link above, it will take you to our gallery of top pools in Vegas, which you can search by amenity using the icons. You'll see there are currently over a dozen pools open to the public, of which eight are on the Strip. Many of these are adult-only (some topless, some not) and the majority require non-hotel guests to pay a fee (although if you're young, cute, and female, this may well be waived). Local ladies are often admitted free of charge, but men generally have to pay, especially if the pool is topless.
In addition to pools that are routinely open to the public, some, like Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock, admit non-guests who are prepared to rent a cabana. Plus, even if a pool isn't generally open to the public, practically all the poolside events -- parties, concerts, etc. -- are open to all. Some pool scenes are wild, like the Hard Rock's notorious Sunday Rehab parties, while others are more relaxed, like the nightly free pool party at the Hilton or Platinum's "Dine & Unwind" poolside movie series.
You can find all this information, plus our new Vegas Pool FAQs, Las Vegas Top 10 Pools list, and complete list of Las Vegas Hotel Pools in the Cool Pools section, where you'll also find individual profiles of each of Las Vegas' top pools, including photo galleries, details of celebrity sightings (with pics), LVA reviews, and useful comments from your fellow readers -- we encourage you to add your own and upload your photos.
