It's pretty simple to arrange to meet someone at McCarran International Airport. Let's start with your friend, who's flying in.
She'll be getting off the plane at the A, B, C, or D gates. If it's at the C or D gates, she'll take the tram to the main terminal building. Getting off the tram, she'll get on the escalator down to baggage claim. She can pick up her bags, then follow the signs out the doors to the taxi waiting area. She doesn't wait for a cab; instead, she crosses the pedestrian bridge and walks toward the parking garage. She doesn't cross over to the parking garage; rather, she stands on the right side of the street facing traffic, looking for you. You'll drive up to where she's standing, she'll hop into the car, and off you'll go, together, for your weekend.
Now you, on the other hand, have a little more of a maze to negotiate. From Sam's Town, you'll drive south to Tropicana Avenue, then head west (right) toward the Strip. (You can also drive south on Nellis Avenue, then take a right on Tropicana.) When you get to Paradise Road, take a left, following the signs to the airport. Pay attention here, because there are several forks in the road and some merging traffic to watch out for. Stay in the middle lanes, looking for the yellow triangles painted on the roadway. You'll merging into the left lane, continue to follow the yellow triangles, and drive up the ramp to the parking-garage level short-term parking area, and arrivals/passenger pickup area.
You can stop at the pickup area only to load (or unload) your passenger. You cannot wait at the curb for her for more than 10 seconds. You can park in the short-term area of the parking garage (stay to the left as you come up the ramp), then wait for your friend on foot at the pickup area. It's a very short walk from short-term parking to the pickup area, and it'll cost you a few quarters while you wait.
