A quick call to the Bellagio gift shop confirmed that they don’t sell any DVD of the show because they "want you to come here to the attraction and not just be able to sit home and watch it." They do sell a compilation CD of the music to which the various shows are choreographed, but it’s currently being updated and the new one won’t be available for another month or so.
We thought we had a couple of cunning suggestions for you about ways to catch the show from home, but neither is working out quite as we’d hoped. The first idea involved visiting the Web site of Wet Design, the company who designed the Bellagio Fountain attraction (and are currently working on the Mirage volcano). Their site has a page dedicated to Bellagio and features QuickTime videos of the Bellagio choreographies to "Singin’ in the Rain" and "Rondine al Nido." However, although we could get the videos to play, we couldn’t get the sound to work, which kind of spoils the effect. We placed a call to their Web master, who was looking into it for us, but we haven’t heard back yet.
The second suggestion was definitely an inferior one, but would’ve been better than nothing. If you go to the LVA Visitor Guide, you’ll see our section on Las Vegas Web cams. One of these is the Polo Towers, which has two Web cams, both streaming high-quality images. One is pointed at the City Center project and is still up and running; the other alternates between various views of the Strip, including a good one of the Bellagio lake and fountain show. Or rather, it did. When we checked it out in the process of answering this question, we went to the relevant page, only to be greeted with a message saying, "Stay Tuned, Strip Cam Will Be Back!" Hmm. No mention of when. So, for the time being, it looks like you’re pretty much stuck with those cell phone movies, but we’ve at least got a few nice photographs for you (see below).
