While we realize the original submitter of this question has already received our response telepathically, we figured we'd better publish the answer for the benefit of all those readers cursed with lesser psychic abilities.
Hypnolarious was a family-friendly comedy-hypnosis show that first opened at Bourbon Street in early 2003 and starred entertainer and hypnotherapist Terry Stokes and his sidekick Deogee the Chihuahua "Hypno Pup." Tickets were $39.95 and in the February 2003 issue of LVA, we predicted the show would be closed by March, based on the precedent set by previous Bourbon Street spectacles. We were wrong (although they did soon reduce the price to $19.95 for locals).
Hypnolarious managed to survive a number of reincarnations, including Stokes' protegee Michelle VanRee taking over the helm, the closure and implosion of Bourbon Street in 2005, and a move to the Stardust later that year, where Michelle and Deogee continued to perform until that property, too, went the way of the wrecking ball in November 2006.
As to what they're up to now, we can't say, although we tried to find out. While Michelle's mentor is back performing in Vegas at the Harmon Theater (see below) and Hypnolarious still has a website, it doesn't look like Michelle or Deogee are currently performing anywhere. The telephone number listed was out of service and an email went unanswered. If anyone can shed any light on their whereabouts, do let us know.
In the meantime, here are some other hypnosis shows performing in Las Vegas:
This is an adult show (18 and over only) centered squarely on sex, sexual innuendo, vulgarity, and general nastiness, so not for those of a sensitive disposition.
Another adult comedy-hypnosis show, you have to be 21+ to attend this one.
The only female hypnotist we're currently aware of performing in Las Vegas, Madame Meg's show invites you to "lose your stress and find your inner confidence and passion" and includes free appetizers and 2-for-1 drink specials. Following the show you also get to meet the cast, who include a magician, and cabaret singer, and more, plus you can take free "Find Your Sexy" dance lessons. It's another one for the 21+ crowd only.
Marc Savard's now ended his stint performing at the LA Comedy Club (above Trader Vic's). His other Vegas gig, which continues, is the more adult-oriented one (16+ only), again featuring comedy hypnosis.
Starring Vegas veteran Dr. Scott Lewis, this show's been peforming at the Riv. for forever and is suitable for those aged 12 and over.
