Q:
Awhile back you mentioned that the price for the 24-hour Deuce bus was going up to $7. Has it happened yet? If not, when will it take effect? We'll be there in march and want to make sure we have the right amount of cash. Thanks.
A:
The price to ride the Deuce, the fleet of Citizen Area Transit double-decker sightseeing buses that have plied the Strip and other routes since 2005, has already been raised.
The one-ride fee is $3. The 24-hour Access pass is now $7 (the 24-hour period begins the moment you purchase the pass). You can also get a three-day All-Access Pass for $15, which allows you to ride any bus in the CAT system for 72 hours.

Update 05 March 2009
One of those preemptive reader updates, submitted before today's answer even ran lol:
"About tomorrow's QOD. I was in town recently and got the $7 24-hour pass on Monday 2/23. I thought Mon. would be a light day but the Deuce was a nightmare. Buses were continually packed to the point of passing up stops crowded with hopeful riders. The ride from Excalibur (I know I got on the wrong side of the Strip) to downtown was 2 hours and that is no exaggeration. Until they get their act together, I won't be riding it again. A taxi would certainly cost more but it would have saved me much valuable time." [Ed: In contrast, those readers who've reviewed/rated
The Deuce on LasVegasAdvisor.com have generally given it glowing reviews, although these do pre-date the price hike.]
