Question of the Day - 16 May 2009

Q:
You had at one time a link that listed all the RV parks and resorts with fees and phone numbers and addresses. Have you updated this list lately and where did you move this list to?. I thought it was under where to stay, but I don't seem to see it there. Have any new ones opened yet? We are coming out for the winter and need to start makeing a reservation soon.
A:

Yes indeed, we do still have this information on the website and it was updated not too long ago for a new guidebook that's in the works (or at least, it feels like it was pretty recently, but time really seems to fly these days, so if anyone out there sees anything that needs changing, please drop us a line via the QoD email and we'll be sure to investigate).

In terms of new parks being added, afraid not. If anything, there's a gradual attrition each year, although the current condition of the real estate market in Las Vegas will probably keep the survivors safe for awhile). The only significant, if you can call it that, development of recent times that springs to our collective mind is the facelift at the KOA venue at Circus Circus that occurred earlier this year, with the addition in January of iconic "Flying Cloud" Airstream Trailers (see pics. - click on thumbs to enlarge) to the range of accommodations offered. But that's about it.

Click here for the link that will take you not only to where you can find RV park info (including addresses, fees, and details about amenities), but also lots of other useful information about accommodation in Las Vegas, including our Green Hotel Guide, details about hotel Internet charges, pools, and the scoop on which ones are pet-friendly, to which pets, and for how much. Check it out!
