We get this question a lot, and up till now, the answer has been no.
But a new book is now available. It’s called The Glitter Guide: Famous Homes of Sin City and it features more than 100 addresses of celebrities who live in Las Vegas, as well as listings of a few grave sites of the famous, where celebrities lived before they died, and tragedies that occurred in Las Vegas.
Information on the homes includes directions and GPS coordinates, square footage, age, and a short bio of each celebrity resident. Every page also features a bit of trivia or a quote about Las Vegas.
Celebrities start with Andre Agassi and Stefi Graf, who live at 4944 Spanish Heights in a 4,600-square-foot house built in 1993, and run through Anthony Zuiker, creator and executive producer of the TV series "CSI," "CSI Miami," and "CSI New York," who lives at 2005 Poetry Avenue in Henderson.
In between Agassi and Zuiker are Paul Anka, Susan Anton, David Brenner, Brunei’s Prince Jefri (in a nice little 37,000-square-foot bungalow), David Copperfield, Tony Curtis (Anthony Curtis, however, isn’t listed; he lives at the office), Celine Dion, Rollie Fingers, Jason Giambi, Oscar Goodman, Latoya Jackson, Reggie Jackson, BB King, Gladys Knight, Robin Leach, Wayne Newton, Harry Reid, Debbie Reynolds, Rita Rudner, Siegfried and Roy, Al Unser Jr., and many many more.
Where They Lived Before They Died includes Ted Binion, Foster Brooks, George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, Redd Foxx, Liberace, Pat Morita, and others.
Celebrity Graves contain Redd Foxx, Pancho Gonzales, Harry James, Sonny Liston, Colonel Tom Parker, and more.
The book was compiled by former Las Vegan Jon Green. You can get a peek at it and order it at my-vegas.com. The e-book costs $6.25, while the print version goes for $9.98 (plus shipping).
It's OK for what it is, but could definitely use an update: We're pretty sure that Celine Dion no longer resides here -- she loathed every minute that she did, we were told, and the desert air wreaked havoc with her voice, while we know for sure that Danny Gans (RIP) no longer lives in Las Vegas. On the other hand, doesn't Mike Tyson live in Vegas? Not to mention Carrot Top, Criss Angel, Holly Madison and, we think, Flavor Flav. Drop us a line if you check out the book and find others that you think should be in there -- we'll pass your suggestions on to the author.
