The Penn & Teller theater seats 1,100 and yes, the general public will be admitted to watch the final table on a first-come, first-served basis. Each of the nine finalists was offered tickets for friends and family, with one player asking for only four while, at the other end of the spectrum, another took 250. So, the bad news is that a quantity of the seats are already taken; the good news is that each time a player gets knocked out, their following will presumably vacate the theater, freeing up more seats for the general public. It's against gaming regulations to charge money to spectators at a live gambling event, so the other good news is that the seats are free, if you can get 'em. We'll let you know more details about what time the doors open etc. nearer the time when the details have been finalized.
