Question of the Day - 14 December 2009

Q:
The Showtime series "Bullsh!t!" goes off on John Edward in a big way! Yet he works for Harrah's corporation at the Flamingo. Has any real-life conflict happened as a byproduct of this "co-worker" relationship?
A:

Not that we're aware of. However, Penn & Teller's PR man dove under the table when this question was put to him, nor did we hear anything back from the John Edward camp. Harrah's own PR operation is divided into myriad "pods," so your question is somewhere in Pod Hell right now.

However, we suspect that if Edward took any umbrage at Penn & Teller's remarks and complained to Harrah's, the latter would tell him to stuff it. Edward is not exactly a Vegas mainstay: He plays only two dates at the Flamingo between now and April. Penn & Teller, by contrast, play as many as seven *consecutive* nights at a stretch this December alone. They're true workhorses. So Harrah's knows on which side of the Great Beyond its bread is buttered and it's not Mr. Edward's side.
