Heidi Fleiss, aka "The Hollywood Madam", hit the headlines in 1993 when her prostitution ring was busted following an LAPD sting operation. Her clients allegedly included numerous wealthy and famous men, including actor Charlie Sheen and Texas billionaire businessman Robert T. Crow, who admitted to using her services. In September 1996 she was convicted of federal charges of tax evasion and served three years in jail before being released in September 1999.
Since her release from prison, Fleiss has been involved in numerous business ventures and moved from California to Nevada. She announced plans to open a brothel for women in Pahrump, but that project never got off the ground and, following the failed experiment by another Nevada brothel last year to cater to the female audience with Nevada's first male prostitute, we're not holiding our breath.
She also opened a 24-hour laundromat called Dirty Laundry in a Pahrump shopping mall, but when we called the number was disconnected. In September of last year she opened a pet grooming store in Las Vegas called Dirty Dog, which offered services including hair dying and nail polish for pets. However, the previous owner sued Fleiss and her ex-pornstar partner over allegations that the store was purchased illegally and after only three days in business Clark County District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez ordered the venue to close on the grounds that Fleiss was sold the business illegally by the previous owner's estranged ex-wife, in violation of the couple's ongoing divorce action.
That ruling came just two days after Fleiss was sentenced to three years probation on felony drug charges. Substance abuse has been a recurring theme in the ex-madam's life and she appeared on both "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew", during the filming of which she was busted following an accident in her SUV and returned to rehab, and then "Sober House with Dr. Drew". After completing treatment for substance abuse, Fleiss became engaged to Dennis Hof, owner of Nevada's Moonlite BunnyRanch brothel, and that's the last we've heard, other than the fact that she somehow along the way developed an affinity for exotic birds and keeps about 25 of them that she's adopted and rescued from various sources. Here's a link to what we think is her official MySpace page, which you can follow for updates.
The combination of drug abuse and plastic surgery has not been kind to Heidi's looks, as you can see from the photos below.
