Question of the Day - 10 August 2010

Q:
What happened to the free white tigers at the Mirage? My daughter went to see them in their glass exhibit and said they closed it. The only way to see them is to pay now.
A:

That's correct. It was back in November, 2007 that the Royal White Tiger Habitat, one of Las Vegas' more popular free attractions -- yes, just to clarify, it was the attraction that was free, not the tigers! -- was closed to make way for BLT Burger, one of the first "gourmet" burger joints that are now so popular, this one from Chef Laurent Tourondel.

Anyone wishing to see the tigers may still do so -- for a fee of $15 per person ($10 for kids) -- at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.
