Question of the Day - 17 October 2011

Q:
We'll be visiting Las Vegas in late October and would like to visit a haunted house attraction. Can provide us with a rundown of our options and do you have a personal preference?
A:

Why, certainly! While some typically busy holiday weekends have seemed a little muted this year, Halloween, always a big party in the Vegas calendar, shows no signs of scaling down, we're happy to report.

Every year we compile a comprehensive feature listing all the haunted houses (and ranches, conservatories, aquariums, and other "only in Vegas" spooked-out venues), plus fantasy parties and fetish balls, and other more family-friendly attractions, in our Special Events section.

As far as personal recommendations go, we confess to not having gotten much into the Halloween holiday spirit the past few years (we live here, okay?), but Fright Dome at Circus Circus is a regular pick in national surveys of the scariest attractions, and we're intrigued to check out the 13th Floor Experience at the same property, which must have been a success last year, since they brought it back.

Most of the Haunted Houses in Las Vegas have been regular fixtures for years, so just click on the links for more info to see which one might best suit the fear-tolerance levels of those in your party.
