On particularly auspicious dates for the superstitious, including 7/7/07 and 8/8/08, Las Vegas cashed in with casino promotions, wedding specials, and more. For some reason, and presumably the economy has plenty to do with it, there's very little of note going on for November 11, 2011, or at least no one's gotten around to promoting it yet. The only two properties we've come across that are doing anything to mark the occasion are Trump and the Hard Rock.
As far as Trump International's concerned, guests are being offered limited-time hotel and spa specials, including being able to snag a 3,000-square-foot three-bedroom penthouse for the special price of $1,111 for the night (regularly priced at up to $3,000), or you can enjoy a Classic Trump Massage or exclusive Kate Sommerville Universal Glow Facial for $111 (regularly $150 each).
For some reason, Hard Rock's the only casino to jump all over this novel date, and has already announced a range of promos, including a $11,111 two-night stay package in the Hard Rock's Paradise Platinum Penthouse, which includes a VIP box for a Santana show, a Champagne-fueled VIP table at Vanity, a 34oz tomahawk chop at 35 Steaks + Martinis, and an exclusive print from Neal Preston's Rock & Roll collection.
In addition, there are several promotions taking place on the casino floor. On 11/11/11, all new Rockstar Players Club sign-ups will receive an American Flag on 11/11 /11. (one per new sign-up). Plus, from November 1-11, win one virtual drawing ticket for every 111 points earned in the "Rockin’ 11 Drawing" for prizes including a guitar signed by Linkin Park, a VIP box to Santana (11/13 performance) for 12; and a suite at the Hard Rock for New Year's Eve.
If we hear of anything else going on between now and then, we'll post it in Today's News.
