As far as supermarkets are concerned, here's a list of those closest to the Strip:
- North Strip, e.g. Circus Circus & Stratosphere
Albertson's or Smith's at the corner of East Sahara and Maryland Pkwy.
- Center-North Strip, e.g. Venetian & Wynn
Vons at the corner of E. Twain and Cambridge
- Center Strip, e.g. Bally's, Bellagio & Caesars Palace
Albertson's at the corner of E. Flamingo and Maryland Pkwy.
- South Strip, e.g. Mandalay Bay & MGM Grand
Vons at the corner of E. Tropicana and Maryland Pkwy. or Smith's at W. Tropicana and Jones
There's also a branch of 99 Ranch Market, the Asian specialty supermarket chain, in Las Vegas' Chinatown, located at W. Spring Mountain and Wynn Road, where you can purchase myriad fresh fruit and veggies.
Unfortunately, acclaimed Chef Mario Batali's "Bet on the Farm" Molto Vegas Farmers Market, which was located on Dean Martin Drive, closed in February of this year for lack of a business license, but there are now almost daily farmers markets across the Vegas Valley (the one downtown is closed for the winter season), if you have transportation and are looking for local produce.
If you visit the Las Vegas Farmers Market website, you'll find details of the weekly events at Garden Park (west side) on Tuesdays, Bruce Trent Park (also on the west) on Wednesdays, and Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs (first and third Saturday of the month).
STOP THE PRESSES! Having written this answer, we just read on Twitter that the Bet on the Farm farmers market is back, commencing this Thursday at Springs Preserve from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Great news! Click here for more information.

- "The Palms coffee shop Has a great fresh fruit plate on the menu that comes with a delicious power bar.
Some more fruity feedback:
- "Regarding today's question about buying fresh fruit on the Strip, I just returned from an 11 day trip to Las Vegas. You don't have to go to a grocery store if you're willing to spend more. The shops at Planet Hollywood have a store that sells food and I saw fruit there. This shop was reasonably priced. Also Harrahs has a shop by registratation (at the rear of the casino) that sells fruit and Ballys has a stand at the front by registration that sells fruit. It also has Sbarros on the lower level that sells cups of fruit. I'm sure there are lots of other casinos that sell fruit either in shops or restaurants in food courts."
- A reader wrote in to suggest the Whole Foods Market at Town Square, at the south end of the Strip.
