Fear not! We checked with Paris and Napoleon's still hosts dueling pianos nightly, it's just that the show has moved to a later spot, now that the new Empire Comedy club has opened. Sunday through Wednesday, the pianos still start at 9 p.m.; on Thursday they now begin at 9:45 p.m., and at 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturdy.
We have lost several other options, however, since we last answered a QoD on this subject, back in June, 2008. McFadden's at the Rio closed recently, although a new Irish pub is apparently due to open. The Delmar Lounge at South Point no longer hosts dueling pianos, and neither do Rock and Rita's at Circus Circus, nor Kahunaville at TI. We have just gained two new options, though, with the opening of Lynrd Skynrd BBQ & Beer at Excalibur, which has dueling pianos at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Swingers Club at the Plaza, which has a dueling piano show Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8 p.m.
The other options we're aware of are The Piano Bar at Harrah's, which has dueling twin sister pianists at 9 p.m. nightly, The Bar at Times Square in New York-New York, which has its famed show at 8 p.m. nightly, The Pub at the Monte Carlo, which features dueling pianos at 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Encore's Eastside Lounge, which has a show at 9 p.m. nightly, Salute Lounge at Palazzo, from 7:30 p.m. nightly, and Pete's Dueling Piano Bar at Town Square, where the show goes off at 8 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
