The spa at the Palms closed quietly at the end of last year and the former entrance discreetly hidden behind some fake plants. No plans for the space were announced until the beginning of this month, when gossip columnist Robin Leach revealed that a new poolside restuarant is in the works, although no further details have been announced.
While, with the closure of the spa, that left one less option for redeeming the $50 all-purpose comp in the Member Rewards Book, on the upside, NOVE Italiano was added this year as one of the restaurants at which the discount is honored. Designated among the "Essential 50" in Eating Las Vegas, we think it's a good trade.
The MRB is not valued at Drift Spa at Palms Place, but the Bloody Mary/champagne open bar deal with Sunday Brunch at Simon continues this year.
