Q:
For many years we've stayed at the Flamingo mainly for their tennis courts. With the Linq project underway, they have gotten rid of their courts. Do you know of anywhere else on the Strip (or close by) that has courts available?
A:
There are actually very few hotels with tennis courts, presumably because it's too hot to play outdoors for several months of the year and demand probably doesn't justify the space indoor courts would take up. Hence, with the Flamingo out of the picture, the only hotels we're aware of with tennis courts are as follows:
- LHV (formerly the Hilton), which has six outdoor courts. The fee is $20/hr for hotel guests, $25/hr for non-guests, and reservations are required. Some days the courts close early, so be sure to inquire ahead of time.
- Bally's has outdoor courts open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The fees are the same as at LVH.
- The Riviera has two outdoor courts. There's no fee, but they're open to hotel guests only.
- The Plaza downtown has four courts up on the pool deck, but they are currently closed for renovation.

Oops, we missed one!
Cosmopolitan has two courts on the 14th floor. Fees are $20/hour and the courts are open to the public, depending on availability. Racket rental is $10 and ball machine rental is $25.
The Carriage House non-gaming property on Harmon also has a tennis/basketball court available for guest use only.
