Question of the Day - 12 June 2012

Q:
Are there any party pits at Las Vegas casinos that feature male dancers?
A:

Nope. And not only are there no male party pits, but there have been some recent casualities that brought the sum total of male revues on the Strip to two, namely Chippendales and Thunder from Down Under. There are also some straight strip clubs that feature regular male shows on some nights, including Sapphire, the OG, and Palomino (the only totally nude male revue in the U.S. -- and with alcohol!)

While according to recent stats, the male-to-female ratio visitor-wise has been steady around the 50/50 mark for some years now, entertainment remains skewed toward male visitors. Men still outnumber women when it comes to playing table games, so it makes sense that casinos would tailor in-pit entertainment toward a male audience. Also, the current writer is female, but confesses to being more entertained by watching female go-go dancers than by watching a bunch of hunks gyrating, which, frankly, just strikes me as vaguely ridiculous. But perhaps that's just me...
