Not much. You're correct that there was a contest held among its employees to come up with a new name for the Imperial Palace, which is undergoing a total reinvention as it's incorporated into the new Linq project.
We do know that the competition has ended and that a name has indeed been chosen. We also learned from someone partially in-the-know that in the end, the name picked was not any of those suggested by employees, although it was apparently "inspired by one of the suggestions, whatever that means."
We're as in the dark as you are, in other words, although some enlightenment may be just around the corner. Our friendly insider informed us that a "presentation" has been announced for Tuesday, Aug. 28 regarding the new IP name, "which means they're nearing an announcement, I would think. They haven't communicated an exact day/time, but if they're doing a presentation, I suspect it's a done deal and they're ready to share."
So, we may or may not find out this coming Tuesday what the new name is. If not, it sounds like the reveal is imminent -- watch Today's News for updates.
