Following its sale by Station Casinos, the former Aliante Station completed its transition to total new management on November 1. The changeover was themed "A Brand New Day" and on a positive note saw the debut of three new dining options, including: the European-style Bistro 57; The Salted Lime a margarita bar and restaurant; and the Medley Buffet, plus the more recent opening of a new independent race and sports book. A new players club replaced the Boarding Pass program.
On the other hand, casualites of the changeover have included the closing of the poker room, which is apparently to be replaced by a "new concept," and the three coupons for the property included in the 2012 Las Vegas Advisor Member Rewards Book. It took us awhile to get through to anyone who could help, but eventually a friendly staff member in the newly named buffet apologized but confirmed that neither our 2-for-1 offer there, nor the twofer entrée deal at MRKT, nor the free-drink coupon at ETA lounge could be honored post-changeover, since each requires an employee to input a redemption code and the new system does not recognize any offer-codes attached to the former Station brand. They have tried, but failed, she explained.
At least the changeover took place late in the year, so we hope most of our members have already redeemed the Aliante Station offers. We'll be approaching the new management soon to investigate the possibilities of new deals for 2013. We'll keep you posted.
