Question of the Day - 02 December 2012

Q:
Could you please give us an update on the Frank & Barbra show that closed at the end of May at the Westin? It was one of our favorite shows! Any word on Ms. Owens and Mr. Anzaldo? Their web site is quiet...too quiet. Hoping they are headed to a new Vegas venue soon!
A:

Barbra & Frank: The Concert That Never Was, is a tribute show, starring Sharon Owens as Barbra Streisand and Sebastian Anzaldo as Frank Sinatra, that ran for a long time at the Riviera, before closing in October of 2010. It re-emerged the following July at the Westin Casuarina, where initially it featured daily performances, including a Sunday matinee.

In October 2011 the schedule was adjusted and the show went dark on Saturdays, then in January of this year it was cut back further to perform on Fridays and Saturdays only, before closing entirely. It's been off the radar for a few months, but the good news for Babs and Frank fans is that it has now reopened at the recently debuting Boulevard Theater on the Strip, which occupies the building that has previously housed Club Utopia and the Empire Ballroom. The future schedule is set to feature performances Monday to Sunday at 3 p.m., but for the month of December shows are on Saturday and Sunday only. Tickets start at $49.99. You can catch a sample of Sharon and Sebastian in action on their website.
