That's a nice simple one. We update our comprehensive buffet listings, including Sunday Brunch buffets at non-casinos, every single month, without fail, so we can detail any significant changes (which there always are) in the LVA newsletter*. If we hear of changes in-between newsletters, we update the listing for the relevant buffet as soon as we confirm whatever the difference may be, but each and every buffet gets a call from our Research Department every month.
To give non-members** an idea, some of the significant news we report in the April issue includes: news of new (Friday) seafood and (Saturday) steak nights at Aliante; the discontinuation of breakfast (and across-the-board price hikes for other meals) at Fiesta Henderson; the end of the long-running Friday seafood dinner buffet at Orleans (which now features prime rib and shrimp scampi nightly); and a $6 increase (to $65) for the weekend Jazz Brunch at Wynn's Country Club Grill.
As to the star ratings and comments, these are not posted by us, but by readers, and we don't touch them unless someone breaks the rules, or posts a review on the wrong page, for example. We confess there are a couple of small bugs that have crept into the system, but it's not worthwhile tracking down the gremlins at this stage, since our all-new site, which will feature a more sophisticated comment-and-rating feature, is nearing completion (yes, really, it is). So, please continue to post your opinions regarding buffets (and shows, hotels, pools, nightspots, etc.) on this site; they will be transferred to the upgraded lasvegasadvisor.com in due course.
*The paper issue contains the highlights; we include complete listings of changes, however small, in the online version. **Click to read a free sample issue, to get a better idea of what you're missing ... then join, already! (Coincidentally, this month's freebie is from last October, when the cover story was a feature on the newly debuted $17-million Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace.)
