Negative, unless you've gotten wind of something that we haven't. After a long residency at the then Las Hilton, now LVH, followed by a shorter residency at Paris, there's been no word of Barry Manilow having any upcoming dates in Las Vegas.
Jersey Boys took over Manilow's spot in the Paris showroom at the end of 2011 and, although there were vague rumors that the veteran crooner might move either to CET sister property Harrah's (surely too big of step-down for this performer?) or back to LVH, neither scenario has since materialized.
Immediately after wrapping up his two-year run at Paris, the then 68-year-old singer-songwriter was admitted to hospital for surgery to repair torn abductor muscles and for treatment to his hips, which entailed several months of rehabilitation. He's evidently well-and-truly back on the road, however, judging by the upcoming schedule posted on the star's website. According to this, he plays some dates in Florida and Louisiana this month, prior to hopping across The Pond for some dates around the U.K. (mainly at the usual suspects in terms of large venues like O2 and Wembley Arenas, but with a one-off at the somewhat more obscure Ipswich Town Football Club on May 16). It looks like the U.K. dates finish on May 26 and there's no word of where Barry may land after that (he'll probably need a rest); we've certainly heard nothing of any possible return to Sin City. If we do, we'll be sure to let you know, but in his absence, there are still a whole bunch of other stars glittering up and down the Strip, both of a resident and transient nature, so we're pretty sure you'll find something to fill the void left by Barry's absence.
