Last Jan. 19, the Wranglers informed parent organization the ECHL that it had three potential homes for 2014-5 games. This triggered a two-week grace period in which the Wranglers get extra time in which to sign a deal. The Las Vegas Sun’s John Katsilometes reported that the Wranglers had "been seeking at least a temporary facility that would seat 2,500 to 4000 fans and serve as its home venue for 2014-’15."
The Wranglers have tried Mandalay Bay Event Center, MGM Grand Garden Arena, South Point Arena the Thomas & Mack Center, even the World Market Center. "We told them we didn’t have space available. We’d love to help them out," World Market Center Director of Operations Philip Knott told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Everything has been quiet on the Wranglers’ front for the last week, so the best advice we can give you is to follow our Today's News feed and we’ll post the Wranglers’ fate as soon as the news breaks.
For its part, Boyd would only say, "Unfortunately, after several months of discussions, we have been unable to agree to terms for a renewal that would keep the team at the Arena after this season. We have greatly enjoyed our relationship with the Wranglers, and we wish them every success in the future."
