Question of the Day - 26 July 2015

Q:
I regularly watch Brain Games on cable TV. It appears that it is filmed in Las Vegas. Any information you have about its filming would be appreciated.
A:

For those unfamiliar with the show, "Brain Games" is a National Geographic series that examines how the brain works and to generate empirical conclusions by encouraging viewers at home to get involved in interactive tests and tasks to understand the functionality of their own minds.

We spoke to Veronica at the Nevada Film Office, who told us, "They’ve been here a couple of years but it’s just been episodic, not like a whole series." "Brain Games" made an eight-day stopover in Las Vegas in 2013, and shot here for a day in 2013, but hasn’t been back yet, we were informed, although we found information about a Las Vegas casting call from February 2014, that invited anyone aged 7 to 70 to audition, so either they didn't find the right candidates, or that show hasn't yet aired, or they filmed here without informing the Film Office, any of which is a possible scenario. We'll keep our eyes open for any future auditions and will pass on the details, should we hear of anything, as we do for other TV and film shoots that we learn are looking for extras.
