There is only one casino in Laughlin that charges resort fees and it's – you guessed it – Harrah's Laughlin Casino & Hotel. You are charged $10 a night and the fee covers Internet service for two devices, local phone calls, and access to the private soft-sand beach.
There are a few Laughlin hotels that impose refundable security deposits. The highest one is at Avi Casino & Resort, which charges $100. If you bring a pet to Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall, it's also $100, but only $50 if you're pet-less. Laughlin River Lodge puts a $50 hold on your credit card, while it's $30 at Golden Nugget Laughlin and at Colorado Belle Hotel Casino & Microbrewery.
Other Laughlin casinos that abstain from resort fees are Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino, the Edgewater Hotel & Casino, and the Aquarius Casino Resort. The Tropicana Laughlin charges no resort fee and neither does Regency Casino, although in the latter case it's because the Regency has no hotel, only 75 machines and "a great restaurant," according to a staffer with whom we spoke. So, if you want to get away from it all, and away from the baneful resort fee, Laughlin is the place to go … with one exception.
