The list of the world's largest hotels doesn't change too frequently, but it does change.
One of the challenges in presenting this enumeration is how rooms are counted. For example, are the Wynn and Encore, and Venetian-Palazzo, two separate hotels or one hotel complex? Are Disney's All-Star hotels (Sports, Music, and Movies) three or one? Do we include all the rooms at City Center? Are the Signature towers at MGM Grand added to the total?
Our list below is based on decisions we made while comparing four different compilations.
Note that Las Vegas is still heavily represented, with six of the 10 largest and 11 of the top 20. When/if Resorts World is completed to the announced size of 6,583 rooms, it will be the fifth largest in the world, giving Vegas seven of the top 10 and 12 of the top 20.
