It wasn’t a rumor: Last June, Chick-fil-A, an Atlanta-based all-chicken fast-food chain (the "fil-a" part of the name is believed to be a play on "fillet"), announced that it broke ground on its first two Nevada restaurants, making Nevada the 46th state with Chick-fil-A’s (more than 2,000 franchises in all).
The locations of the two restaurants are 9925 S. Eastern Ave. between Ione and St. Rose Parkway and 460 N. Stephanie (near Warm Springs). They’re on schedule to open in January.
A Las Vegas location, on Sahara Avenue near Rancho Drive, is scheduled to open a few months later.
A fourth Las Vegas location hasn’t been announced, but it’s believed that it will be at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and George Crockett Road just south of Town Square (across from the airport).
Chick-fil-A has announced a plan to open 8-10 locations in Nevada through 2020 or 2021, including one that is rumored for Reno (at the old Marie Callendar’s on Kietzke near South Virginia); that location hasn’t been confirmed.
