Question of the Day - 03 February 2017

Q:
In regards to today 1/8/17, how do you know what class video poker machine you are playing?
A:

Our slot expert, John Robison, who wrote the answer to the earlier question, responds:

As far as I know, every Class II machine has to have the ability to display the bingo card that is used to determine the outcome. The player might be able to control whether the bingo card is displayed. The player may also have the ability to change the bingo card. The Help screens may also display the winning patterns and how much they are worth.

I found some videos of Class II machines on YouTube. Note the bingo card displayed in the bottom-left corner in the image below.

Update 03 February 2017
"Your expert says that as far as he knows every Class II machine is a bingo machine. The Class II machines at Turning Stone are not bingo machines--they are electronic scrape offs. I would like to see someone evaluate them." "The racinos in NY don't use bingo, the game is a visual representation of a stack of scratch off lottery tickets. There is no skill involved. If you hold the wrong cards, a genie changes your cards to the winning hand. Look on Yahoo for Telling the truth about NY Video Poker, Albany Law School. This explains the situation." "Regarding your answer about class 2 gaming. Turning Stone is NOT a racino in NY. It is an Indian casino. Years ago, we could and did see the bingo game. Not sure the current question about scratch offs is correct. But I can guarantee, that the cards you draw at turning stone do NOT change. I think the error is in thinking that Turning Stone is a NY Racino. It is not. It is an Oneida Indian Nation Casino."
