Question of the Day - 23 February 2017

Q:
Perhaps you have answered the following question before, but if so I missed the answer. Years ago in the back of the Imperial Palace, there was a classic car collection, with many of the cars having sticker prices in the event you wanted to purchase one. What happened to that collection or can it still be viewed somewhere?
A:

Nothing happened to the collection, except that the name was changed from the Imperial Palace Auto Collection to Auto Collections at the LINQ.

The 125,000-square-foot Auto Collections is still in the same oddball location, on the fifth floor of the LINQ's parking garage, showcasing up to 250 vintage and classic cars -- all significant for one reason or another -- worth around $100 million.

And yes, they’re all still for sale, prompting the collection to be dubbed "the world's largest auto showroom." Cars continuously rotate in and out of the collection, but you're sure to see any number of vehicles, from antiques to cars of the stars, that'll interest you.

You can go to the Auto Collections website to see the cars on display, for sale, and recently sold, and a few automotive collectibles (occasionally, you can print a 2-for-1 coupon for admission there too).

Price of admission to the "museum" is $12.95 adults/$8.95 seniors & children (5 and under are free).
