Question of the Day - 04 April 2017

Q:

Of all the coupons in your Member Rewards Book, which one was used the most last year?

A:

This is an excellent question -- one that we wonder about all the time, too.

Why do we wonder? Because there's simply no way to know. The casinos don't report back to us on coupon redemptions.

We've conducted a couple polls in the past few years on coupon use and preferences, so we have a general idea of favorite coupon categories: 2-for-1 buffets have been number one, then free slot play, 50%-off coupons, and free table-game matchplays.

The poll results also corroborate a fair amount of direct feedback from members, who tell us the most popular coupons are the Palms' 50% off up to $50, the 2-for-1 buffets, free play, and lately the Ellis Island three rounds of drinks.

    Coupons and Discounts
The book should have more coupons and discounts for solo people. Also it would be nice if they would offer a discount for mobility scooter rentals.

    Mr.
I agree about solo coupons, it's always for two. I always go to Ellis Island either for breakfast or lunch and sometimes dinner.

    Coupon Book
Ellis Island..Recalling the coupon for unlimited drinks at the main bar for like, 3-4 hours. Good (and bad) memories!

Have always thought having the coupons organized in the book by geographical location would be a great enhancement. Just start at one of strip or downtown and work your way through the book!

    MRB list
I would love it if the list of coupons online were sortable and printable. I spend a lot of time going through the book, writing down the ones I think I'll use and then putting a paper clip on the coupon for quick retrieval. A list would be a fantastic feature!

Susan Johnson: If it helps, I've made a spreadsheet of all coupons and their expected value - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RjSBjzq6WdEQHo83BDeM4Qu0LeyEncnkDYT5uD9BonQ/edit?usp=sharing
