Question of the Day - 15 March 2026

Q:

Video poker specifically 5 card draw is based off of the dealt game, where the deck is shuffled and cards are distributed. Then a round of redraws commences to complete the dealing. There is no reshuffling between these 2 rounds.
Older VP machines I heard mainly operated this way. Once the button was pressed that was the order of the cards for the entire hand. No reshuffling.
New VP machines I hear have a few different was of continuing to shuffle after the initial 5 cards are dealt.
My questions are.
What is the purpose of continuing to shuffle?
Is it more or less advantageous for the player or the house if the deck continues to shuffle?
